If you were to look at my resume, you would think to yourself, “This girl has no idea what she wants to be and has never stuck with anything!”
I have worked in healthcare.
Pursued a nursing degree.
I worked at factories.
Planned baby showers.
Had multiple side businesses.
Sold Sheds.
Planned community events.
Painted.
Studied copywriting.
For years, I was pushed into careers because I needed money right then but I hated the job. I thought I was searching for the right career.
Looking back, I realize I was searching for a place where all my passions could exist together.

The Seasons That Shaped Me
Growing up I always had a notion of the life I was supposed to live. Marriage. Kids. Nursing. A happy family and practical career. Through all of that, creativity always found its way into my life. I wasn’t just having a baby shower- I was designing the invitations and planning every detail. I loved painting, decorating my home, building things, and finding creative ways to bring ideas to life. I realize now, creativity isn’t just a hobby for me; it is a part of who I am.
You know as well as I do by now that life rarely follows the plans we have for ourselves.
Over the last few years life brought unimaginable challenges nobody would ever have prepared for.
I experienced postpartum depression after the birth of my first child, I separated from my husband,and watched my parents marriage fall apart in a painful and very public divorce.
Shortly afterward, my dad was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Then my family went through the heartbreak of losing my grandfather in a tragic motorcycle accident.
Following the arrangements for my grandfather, I underwent bariatric surgery and had to change my entire lifestyle. My house caught fire on thanksgiving day, my children and I lost everything, I had to pause my nursing career path, and some health issues arose.
I didn’t have time to process one chapter before the next one began, much less navigate the challenges in between.
Those moments weren’t just difficult because they happened. They changed the way I saw the world. Behind every event were months of uncertainty, grief, rebuilding, and learning to adapt. Like so many people, I wasn’t making decisions based on dreams anymore- I was making them based on survival.
Bills had to be paid. My family depended on me. I chose the careers and opportunities that made sense in those seasons of life.
Those careers gave me valuable experience. They taught me resilience, communication, organization, and perspectives I carry with me today. For that, I’ll always be grateful.
But no matter where life took me…
No matter how practical the decision seemed…
one feeling never went away.
Something was missing.
Creativity kept calling me back.
The seeds were already planted
Looking back, I realized the seeds had been planted long before Blooming Brands ever existed.
Nursing taught me compassion and how to care for people in difficult moments.
Event planning taught me how to organize chaos into meaningful experiences.
Copywriting taught me the power words have to influence, inspire, and connect.
Marketing taught me that every business has a story worth telling.
Sales taught me how to listen before offering solutions.
Even the challenges I never would have chosen taught me resilience, empathy, and adaptability.
For years, I thought these chapters were unrelated. I kept trying to decide which path I was supposed to follow. Then I realized…
I wasn’t meant to choose one path.
I was meant to build something that made room for all of them.

Some ideas become businesses. Some become events. Some become books. Some become partnerships. Some become opportunities that haven’t even been imagined yet.
Blooming Brands became the home for all of them.

Because I know what it’s like to spend years believing you have to choose just one path.
The truth is, you don’t.
Sometimes the experiences that seem disconnected are the very ones preparing you for something greater.
Looking back, every season of my life planted a seed.
Looking Ahead
Blooming Brands is still in its earliest season, and that is one of the most exciting parts.
Looking ahead, the Blooming Brands family hopes to cultivate a creative community where entrepreneurs, authors, artists, nonprofits, organizations, and dreamers can find encouragement, collaboration, practical support, and a place to bring meaningful ideas to life.
As Blooming Brands grows, I hope it becomes a place where businesses are launched, books are published, partnerships are formed, community events bring people together, children are encouraged to create, and new ventures continue to take root.
Some of those ideas already exist.
Others haven’t even been imagined yet.
No matter what Blooming Brands becomes in the years ahead, I hope one thing never changes: that every person who finds us feels as though their idea has a place to grow- that this is a place where imagination is valued, you don’t have to apologize for being creative, and no dream is ever considered too small to bloom.
